The Board of Trustees for the Grosse Pointe Foundation for Public Education (GPFPE) is pleased to announce that they have elected Kiana Rose to their board.

Rose attended Grosse Pointe Public Schools and is a graduate of Grosse Pointe South High School.  She received her B.A. in Speech Communications: Radio-TV-Film from the University of Michigan and spent six years as a television sports producer for WDIV in Detroit before moving to Ford Motor Company.  During her years at Ford she held positions in recruiting and placement, and labor relations.  Since leaving the workforce Kiana has served on the Executive Boards of the Mothers’ Club of Grosse Pointe South High School and the Grosse Pointe South Choir Boosters.  She also serves as a scholarship reader for the Alpha Phi Foundation.

The GPFPE is an independent, non-profit organization that brings our community together to fund extraordinary educational opportunities for our children.  Since 2006, the GPFPE has awarded more than 2.2 million dollars in grants to our public schools.
